CONFERENCE HOTEL

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa, 2424 Kalakaua Ave., Honolulu, HI 96815 offers a spectacular setting for this year’s conference.  The hotel greets you with cascading waterfalls and beds of tropical flowers as you enter the lobby.  Facing the famous Waikiki Beach, the Hyatt Regency captures the timeless traditions of Hawai’i. 

To make a reservation, call (808) 921-6026.  Please refer to “IEEE/SOI” in order to receive the special conference rate of $150 single or double occupancy.  A limited number of Government Rate rooms at $112.00 are available with a valid Government ID.  Rooms should be reserved as soon as possible to ensure availability. 

 

This year the Hyatt Regency Waikiki is especially “student friendly” and is offering a limited number of rooms at the special student rate of $112.00 per night (plus tax) to students with a valid student ID.  If you qualify, be sure to reserve early to ensure availability.  These rooms will go fast!

 

Reservation office hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 6:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Hawaii Standard Time.  You can access the hotel’s website at www.hyattwaikiki.com.  You can also download the hotel reservation form from the Download section of this website.

 

 

Hotel Policies & Reservations

The hotel has discounted room rates for conference attendees of $150 single or double occupancy.  Rooms should be reserved as soon as possible to ensure availability at the discounted rate.  Please identify yourself as an IEEE/SOI attendee when making your reservation.  A limited number of rooms are available to both students and government employees.  Please provide a valid student ID or government ID to qualify for the Special Room Rate or $112.00. .

 

Reservations made after September 9, 2005 will be on a space and rate available basis only.  We suggest you make your reservations as soon as possible.

 

Reservations can be made by calling (808) 921-6026 or the hotel website at www.hyattwaikiki.com.  Check in time is 3:00pm and check out time is 12:00 noon.

 

A deposit of two (2) nights’ stay will guarantee you reservation and will be applied to your stay at the hotel.  Parking rates are $15 a day self park and $19 a day valet.  Let the front desk know you are parking at the hotel to get a parking card to give you in and out privileges to the hotel parking lot.

 

The hotel has both a Hertz and Budget rental car office on the premises.

WEATHER

Expect  daily temperatures between 80-85 degrees with nights cooling to between 70-75 degrees.  In spite of the mild temperatures, be prepared for cold hotel and conference rooms.  Dressing in layers is a good way to always be prepared for any temperature.
